Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Houndy is an event discovery and planning platform that aggregates, curates, and surfaces events across the United Kingdom. We help users find events, save them, plan their day, and link to third-party ticket providers. Houndy is not itself a ticket seller or event organiser.

Beta notice: Houndy is currently in beta. Some features may be incomplete or change without notice. We are continuously improving the platform and expanding event coverage.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Houndy. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian consent.

3. Event Accuracy Disclaimer

Event information on Houndy is sourced from third-party providers and public data. While we work hard to maintain accuracy, we cannot guarantee that event details (including dates, times, venues, ticket prices, or availability) are correct at the time you view them.

You must independently verify all event details before travelling to a venue or purchasing tickets. Houndy accepts no liability for losses arising from inaccurate event information.

4. Third-Party Ticketing

"Buy Tickets" and other booking links redirect you to third-party platforms. Any purchase you make is a contract between you and that third party. Houndy is not party to that transaction and accepts no responsibility for:

• Cancelled or postponed events
• Ticket refund or exchange policies
• Pricing errors on third-party platforms
• Availability of tickets after you click through

Where an affiliate relationship exists, Houndy may earn a commission when you purchase tickets through affiliate links. This does not affect the price you pay. Not all booking links are affiliate links — some outbound journeys are currently unmonetised. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.

5. Concierge and Plan My Day

The Concierge and Plan My Day features help you plan events and related activities (travel, dining, parking, accommodation). Suggestions are recommendations only — we do not guarantee availability, pricing, or quality of third-party services. You should verify all details independently before booking.

Concierge plans you create are stored linked to your account. You can share plans via a share link. Shared plans do not include your personal origin location.

6. User Generated Content

You may submit events, diary entries, comments, and profile information. By submitting content you grant Houndy a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it within the service. You remain responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you submit. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.

7. Prohibited Uses

You must not use Houndy to:

• Submit false, misleading, or spam event listings
• Scrape, copy, or commercially redistribute our event data without written permission
• Attempt to circumvent rate limiting, authentication, or security controls
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Infringe intellectual property rights
• Use the platform for illegal purposes

8. Intellectual Property

The Houndy name, logo, platform design, and curation methodology are the intellectual property of Houndy. Event data sourced from third parties remains the property of those providers. User-submitted content remains your property subject to the licence granted in section 6.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Houndy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to losses from attending events based on information displayed on Houndy or from ticket purchases made via third-party links.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed £100.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Privacy Settings → Delete my account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of Houndy after changes constitutes acceptance. We will update the "last updated" date when changes are made.
