Plain English Summary
Houndy helps you discover and plan events. Some "Buy Tickets" links are affiliate links — if you buy through them, we may earn a small commission. You never pay more because of this. During our beta period, not all booking links are monetised. We are transparent about this here.
An affiliate link is a tracked URL that allows a ticket platform to recognise that you arrived from Houndy. If you complete a purchase, the ticket platform pays Houndy a commission — typically a small percentage of the ticket price. This is how many event discovery and media platforms fund their operations.
Affiliate commissions are paid by the ticket platform, not by you. The price you pay for tickets is identical whether or not you arrive via an affiliate link. We never inflate prices or add hidden fees.
Event recommendations on Houndy are primarily determined by:
Commercial signals (whether a ticket link earns commission) may be used as a secondary ranking factor when two events are otherwise equally relevant. We will never demote a relevant event or promote an irrelevant one purely for commercial reasons.
Houndy is currently in beta. Our affiliate relationships are as follows:
Ticketmaster
Our primary event acquisition source. Affiliate relationship is being established. Some Ticketmaster links may be affiliate-tracked.
Other providers (Skiddle, Eventbrite, etc.)
Configured as event data sources. Affiliate relationships have not yet been established for all providers. Outbound links to these providers are currently unmonetised unless explicitly stated.
Venue box offices and organiser direct links
These are never affiliate links. We include them because they are the most accurate or official source for the event.
We do not claim to earn commission from providers where no affiliate agreement exists. As we establish new affiliate relationships, we will update this page.
When you click "Buy Tickets" or any booking link on Houndy, you are redirected to a third-party platform. Any transaction you complete is a contract between you and that third party. Houndy is not party to that transaction. The third party's privacy policy and terms of service apply once you leave Houndy.
This disclosure is intended to comply with the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, ASA/CAP code requirements for affiliate marketing, and ICO guidance on tracking and transparency. LEGAL REVIEW RECOMMENDED for final compliance verification.
