Privacy Policy

Account data: Your email address and display name provided at registration. We use this to identify your account, personalise your experience, and send event reminders you opt into.

Location information: When you use Near Me or Plan My Day features, Houndy may request your device location. If granted, your approximate coordinates are used in-memory to find nearby events and are saved in your browser's local storage so you do not need to re-grant permission each visit. We do not store your precise GPS coordinates on our servers. Your saved location is represented as a city name and approximate coordinates. You can clear your saved location at any time from the header or Privacy Settings.

Saved events and plans: Events you save are stored linked to your account. When you use the Concierge planning tool, your plan selections (tickets, travel mode, dining, parking, accommodation) are stored to persist your plan across sessions.

Concierge plan data: Your Concierge plans include the event details, your selected options (travel, dining, parking, accommodation), estimated spend, and any notes you write. This data is linked to your account and is not shared with other users unless you explicitly share a plan.

Ask Houndy prompts: When you use the Ask Houndy search assistant, your text query is processed to find relevant events. Your query text may be sent to our AI language model provider to interpret natural language intent. Query text is not stored permanently on our servers but may be retained in search analytics logs for quality improvement.

Event interactions: Views, saves, reactions, ticket clicks, and search queries. Used to surface relevant content and compute trending signals.

Inferred taste profile: We analyse your saves, interactions, and Concierge plans to infer category preferences (e.g. music, comedy, sport). This is used solely for personalisation within Houndy and is never sold.

Diary entries: Notes you write about events you have attended. Stored securely and only accessible to you unless you explicitly share your feed.

Venue affinity: Venues you follow or repeatedly engage with. Used to surface events at those venues.

Affiliate click logs: When you click "Buy Tickets" or any outbound booking link, we log the event, destination URL, timestamp, and whether the link was an affiliate link. This powers our commercial analytics. Click logs are retained for up to 24 months.

Device and session identifiers: Anonymous session IDs are used to group interactions for analytics and to prevent abuse of our search and redirect services. We do not use persistent device fingerprinting.

Provider routing data: Which ticket provider (e.g. Ticketmaster) served a given event. Used for provider health monitoring and affiliate attribution.

Near Me search: Your saved location (city-level) is used to filter events by proximity. We do not share your location with event organisers or other users.

Plan My Day: Your location is used to find events happening near you on a specific date. The location is used for the search query only and is not stored in the plan.

Concierge travel planning: When you use the Concierge tool to plan travel to an event, your location may be used to calculate travel routes and times. This origin information is used to generate travel suggestions and is stored in your plan to persist your selections. Your origin is NOT included in shared plans unless you explicitly add it.

Shared plans: When you share a Concierge plan via a share link, the shared data includes the event details, your selected options (travel mode, dining, parking), and timeline. Your personal origin location is NOT included in the shared plan data.

Contract: Processing your account data to deliver the service you signed up for.

Legitimate interests: Analytics, fraud prevention, affiliate attribution, and service improvement — balanced against your rights.

Consent: Location access, marketing emails, and optional personalisation features where explicitly opted in.

Account data: retained for the life of your account, then deleted within 30 days of account deletion request.

Saved events and Concierge plans: retained while your account is active.

Affiliate click logs: up to 24 months from the click date.

Diary entries: retained until you delete them or delete your account.

Search analytics logs: retained for up to 12 months for quality improvement.

Anonymised aggregated analytics: indefinitely (no personal identifiers).

Note: Specific retention periods for some data types are still being finalised. If you need certainty about a specific data type, contact privacy@houndy.app.

Base44: Our application infrastructure provider. Your data is stored on Base44's platform under their data processing agreement. Base44 does not use your data for advertising.

Ticket providers: When you click "Buy Tickets", you are redirected to third-party ticketing platforms (e.g. Ticketmaster). Their privacy policies apply once you leave Houndy.

AI language model provider: When you use Ask Houndy, your search query text may be sent to our AI provider to interpret natural language intent. The provider processes this text under their own data processing terms.

Mapping and places: When you use Concierge travel planning, we may query mapping services (e.g. Google Maps) to calculate routes and find nearby places. These queries may include your approximate location and the event venue location.

Affiliate networks: Where an affiliate relationship exists, affiliate click tracking may pass anonymised click data to affiliate networks for commission attribution. No personal data is shared beyond a session-level click identifier.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data with advertisers.

Right of access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you. You can also use the "Download My Data" feature in Privacy Settings.

Right to rectification: Correct inaccurate data.

Right to erasure: Delete your account and all associated personal data using the "Delete my account" option in Privacy Settings. We will process deletion within 30 days.

Right to restriction: Request we stop processing your data in certain ways.

Right to portability: Receive your data in a structured format using the "Download My Data" feature.

Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
